Kearn Dooley - Funeral Director

[Directors Index]

Kearn DooleyKearn Dooley grew up in the small Cajun town of Delcambre where he graduated from Delcambre High School as an academic athlete. The hardship of Kearn losing his father to cancer when he was only seventeen made him realize that he wanted to extend his empathy to the families of Acadiana. This desire prompted Kearn to move to New Orleans to pursue a career as a funeral director. He attended Delgado Community College and acquired an Associate of Science Degree. While attending school, Kearn worked for Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home in New Orelans where he served his internship and received a vast amount of experience. In May of 2002, Kearn became a licensed Funeral Director.

Kearn's love for Acadiana brought him back where he could benefit from serving the public and enjoy the Cajun culture. While working to build a professional relationship with his home town community, Kearn took advantage of the opportunity to join Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The personalization of funeral services is especially meaningful to Kearn. He feels every life lived is cherished and the life lived by that individual is due honor and respect. The gesture of displaying hobbies, pictures, and memorabilia of the deceased brings much needed comfort to the family and friends who so deeply miss that individual. Kearn really enjoys working with the families to create this wonderful story of a life that was lived.

Kearn hopes to soon involve himself in many of Acadiana's service organizations as the newest member of Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Kearn is married to Amy Cattan, a native of New Orleans, who he met while attending school there. They are members of Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church and look forward to raising a family in Acadiana.
