History of Martin & Castille
We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
When we sit down with a family, we have just one goal: to create a fitting, memorable and affordable service for their loved one. Together, we explore the wide variety of services and products available, as well as a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions.
Together, we'll design a memorial or funeral service that suits their needs now, and in the future. Families who come to us know that years from now, they will have deep peace-of-mind because in coming to us, they've done their best to honor their loved one.
Of the many decisions one makes when planning a funeral, the first and foremost important is the selection of a funeral home. As caring neighbors in the Lafayette community, Martin & Castille Funeral Home has been a part of the history of Acadiana since 1934. Our heritage of honesty and dedication makes us a close advisor and friend to those who have needed us most for over seven decades.
The standard of excellence we adhere to began with our founders Sosthene Martin and Paul L. Castille. It was that partnership that built a foundation of dignity, integrity and professionalism, which has held Martin & Castille as a pillar of trust for so many years. Over time, our respect for tradition, our dedication to personalized service, and our attention to detail has meant the kind of caring that has set a standard for the high quality of service that we provide to every family we serve today.
Yesterday, Today, Always!
Martin & Castille Funeral Home is a family owned, full service funeral home that has served Acadiana for 75 years, spanning across two centuries. In that time, we have shared in the challenges and triumphs of this great part of Louisiana. Our directors have over 100 combined years of a history of commitment to excellence, community, and the families we serve.
We were the first Funeral Home in Acadiana to be invited as a member of the Selected Independent Funeral Homes, a group of the premier funeral homes in the United States. We have achieved the Pursuit of Excellence Award, the highest service award given by our national association.
We emphasize staff development and continually attend national seminars and training programs to provide the most compassionate and current funeral services available. The trust that is bestowed upon Martin & Castille by each family we serve is a trust that is not taken lightly.
