Anthony Blane Comeaux

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at an 11:00 am Liturgy of the Word in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Anthony Blane Comeaux, 59, who passed away at his residence in Duson on Monday, February 21, 2022. Inurnment will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Church Point. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years, Connie Rougeau Comeaux; two children, Anthony Paul Comeaux, and Brittney Nicole Comeaux; his grandchildren, Temia, Shala, Major, Gaige, Ava, and Elizabeth; his mother, Bertha Arabie Roberts and her husband, Joseph; one brother, Joseph James Roberts, Jr.; two sisters, Julie Duval and her husband, Roger, and Tracy Roberts; his godchildren, Justin Dupuis, and Bracie Dupuis; his godparents, Gilford and Elizabeth Comeaux; numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his canine companions, Oreo, DeeDee and Keke. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Comeaux a native of Church Point; his maternal grandparents, Totise and Elise Arabie; his paternal grandparents, Nodel and Ethel Comeaux; and one godfather, John Arabie. Mr. Comeaux was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Duson. He was a graduate of Northside High School. Blane was a parts salesman in the parts department at Service Chevrolet in Lafayette for over 30 years. He loved to draw and create art, crawfish boils and gumbo, gardening, and spending time with his family and pets. Pallbearers will be Roger Duval, Justin Dupuis, James Roberts, and Anthony Paul Comeaux. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and will continue on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
