Armin Peter Weyer
November 8, 1976 - January 22, 2022
Armin was born in Völklingen, Germany, where he spent his first 6 years. In 1982, the family moved to San Diego, California. He picked up the English language quickly and especially enjoyed the many family road trips around the American West. After a few years in Columbus, Ohio, the family settled in Lafayette, LA in 1988. This change was difficult for Peter (he went now by his middle name), but he soon made new friends who were always there for him in times of need. Peter often mentioned how grateful he was for these friendships that sustained him through life’s challenges. A new era began when he met Heather Bellomy and became a proud father to Sienna Eugenie Weyer in 2009. He embraced fatherhood with a joy and dedication that was admired by all. We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Armin Peter was a free spirit who would not accept boundaries, but he was also a gentle soul with a big heart and a good sense of humor. He is survived by his daughter, Sienna Weyer and her mother, Heather Bellomy; his partner, Stephanie Domingue; his mother, Cosima Weyer-Hasenstein and stepdad, Karl-Heinz Hasenstein; his sister, Nina and husband Daniel Tamea; his sister, Laura and fiancé Haiyan Khan; relatives in Germany, and many friends. Armin Peter was preceded in death by his father, Franz-Josef Weyer and his grandparents. A gathering in his memory will be held on March 3, 2022 from 4pm – 7pm at 604 Broadmoor Boulevard, Lafayette, Louisiana, 70503.
