Barbara J. Hoard

August 22, 1952 - January 28, 2022

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Barbara J. Hoard, 69, who passed away peacefully with her husband “Mark” by her side on Friday afternoon January 28, 2022. She had health complications which dated back over 17 years. Barbara was born on August 22,1952 to Henry and Lucille Hebert of Lafayette, LA. She attended Mt. Carmel and then graduated from Cathedral Carmel in 1969. She also attended Northwestern College graduating there. She moved to Houston where she worked for several Oil Companies. She then moved back to Lafayette. She was introduced to Mark by her daughter Heather. Heather's friend “Sandy” and dad ‘Mark” came to pick Heather up for the movies. Not long after that Mark and Barbara were married on June 27th, 1985. They moved to St. Croix, USVI in 1987. Barbara loved sailing and scuba diving. She was part of an all-woman 10m sailboat racing team that competed throughout the Caribbean. She moved to Gainesville, Florida. In 1995 they moved to Palm Coast, Florida. Barbara loved travel and made trips to various Caribbean, Central American, and European locations. She is survived by her Loving Husband and Best Friend, Mark. Her daughter, Heather DelCuadro (Rob) of Cardiff by the Sea, CA. Her son, Steven Foss (Robin) of Lafayette, LA. Her grandchildren who she adored and loved, Robert DelCuadro, Jr, Nina, Wyatt and Barbara Foss. Her stepchildren, Sandy Hoard (her son Ethan Thomas). Mike Hoard and Paul Hoard (his children Taylor and Gavin Hoard). Her sisters, Betty Trahan (Jimmy) and Donna Hebert. Her brothers, Peter Hebert (Sherri) ,Andy Hebert, Greg Hebert, Henry John Hebert (Dana). Aunt Jeanne Hebert Domingue. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry & Lucille Hebert. Her daughter in law Linda Hebert and daughter in law Kathy Hoard. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the care given at AdventHealth Hospital Palm Coast, Florida and all of her caregivers these past years.
