Calvin Louis Lantier

December 29, 1933 - February 16, 2022

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott, for Calvin Louis Lantier, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his residence in Lafayette. Deacon Clifford Tanner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will conduct the services. Cherishing the memory of Calvin include two sons, Ronald Lantier and Rickey Lantier and his wife Thelma; one daughter, Angela Colligan and her husband Kevin; five grandchildren, Ronnie Lantier, Caylen Costa, Faith and Forrest Veuleman, and Bradford and Jackson Colligan; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Addie Thibodeaux Lantier; his parents, Louis Lantier and the former Belzaire Guidry; five sisters, Lurnice Domingue, Dora Mae Dugas, Birdee Dupuis, Josephine Clark and Laura Dean Cormier; one brother, Daniel Lantier; two brothers-in-law, A.J. Thibodeaux, Sr., and Odin Thibodeaux; and a sister-in-law, Mazie Thibodeaux. Calvin loved going to his fishing camp with friends and family at Hebert's Landing in Erath and enjoyed deer hunting with clients in Fredericksburg / Cherry Springs, Texas. He was employed by Blume Tree Services for over 46 years. He was a loving husband, father and a great provider to his family, whom he adored spending quality time with. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lantier, Rickey Lantier, Kevin Colligan, Bradford Colligan, Jackson Colligan, and Tony Dugas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald Lantier, Earl Dugas, Presley Hebert, Willis Champagne, Carol Theriot, and Aubrey Thibodeaux, Jr. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services, with a Rosary prayed by Earleen Wirtz at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
