Dolores Ann Pitt

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott for Dolores Ann Pitt , 83, who died on Friday, May 13, 2022 at The Ellington of Rayne Nursing Home. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include one daughter, Doy Pitt Prejean and her husband, L.A. of Carencro; one son, Paul N. Pitt, Jr. and his wife, Denise of Scott; four grandchildren Jake Pitt, Lauren M. Domingue, Macy N. McNeill, and Peyton Noel Prejean and seven great grandchildren, Riggin, Reese, Rowdy, Hayden, Luke, Sawyer, and Peyton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul N. Pitt, Sr.; parents, Eulalie LeBlanc Spell and Emmett Spell; two brothers, Oran Spell and James W. Spell; one sister, Gwen Veazey and her companion, Joseph Bourque. Dolores Ann Spell Pitt was a native and lifelong resident of Scott, Louisiana. She graduated from Scott High School and worked for the ACAS office, the Lafayette School Board and also owned and operated a Daycare Service. Dolores was a single mother since 1971 and according to her children, was one of the best mothers a child could ask for. She was always on the go, hauling them around town to every sporting event, extra curricular activity, or anything the kids wanted to participate in. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all and will be dearly missed by those who knew her. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until time of services. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Pitt family to Aunt Judy, Mr. Bob, and her good friend Elaine Gary for the love they have always given to Maw D.
