Jeanne Duhon Guidry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille, for Jeanne Duhon Guidry, 92, who died on Monday, April 18, 2022. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include three daughters, Linnet Guidry Lewis and her husband, Ken of Spring, Texas, Michelle Guidry Plake of Youngsville, and Monique Guidry of Lafayette; one son, Perry J. Guidry and his wife, Donna Fabacher Guidry of Lafayette; 6 grandchildren, Joey Guidry and his wife Libby, Ashley Guidry Allen and her husband, Krieg; Jeff Lewis and his wife Suzanne, Josh Lewis and his wife Arielle, and Jamie Lewis Tomme and her husband Kyle; 12 great grandchildren, Dillon Lewis, Kylie Lewis, Cami Tomme, Charlotte Lewis, Aubrie Lewis, Joseph Guidry, Ava Guidry, Celia Guidry, Kody Allen, Kole Allen, Jake Allen, and Addie Allen; one brother, Kermit Duhon and his wife, Margaret; and two sisters-in-law, Margie Dronet Duhon and Gloria Guidry Borel. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clevens Guidry; parents, Obrey Duhon and Laura Broussard Duhon; one brother, Hardy Duhon; one sister, Flo Duhon Menard and her husband, Mabry Menard. A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. Jeanne loved crafting and painting. Her passion was spending time with her family. She was a member of the St. Genevieve Altar Society. Jeanne worked at Dr. Guilliot’s Dentistry office for many years. Pallbearers will be Joey Guidry, Krieg Allen, Joseph Guidry, Josh Lewis, Jeff Lewis, and Kyle Tomme. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed by Gloria Borel on Monday at 11:00 A.M. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Guidry family to Landmark of Acadiana and Lourdes Hospice for the love and compassion they provided. A reception honoring the life of Jeanne Duhon Guidry will be held at 108 Plaquemine Road, Lafayette, Louisiana, 70501, following services.
