Jerry "Mac" Wayne McCoy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Jerry “Mac” W. McCoy, 77, who died on June 9, 2022 at 11:45 pm in Lafayette surrounded by his loving family. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum. Survivors include three daughters, Jodie McCoy Williams and her husband, Bryant of Indianapolis, Indiana, Denise Daspit LeBlanc of Carencro and Dana Daspit Clark and her husband, Isaac of Scott; two sons, Michael J. McCoy and his wife, Terri of St. George, South Carolina and Sean Daspit and his wife, Michelle of Carencro; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Verna Badon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Badon McCoy; one son, Mark McCoy; parents, Burt McCoy and Edna Mae Johnston McCoy and one sister, Maggie McCoy Olivier. Pallbearers will be Bryant Williams, Isaac Clark, Daris Council, Michael Olivier, John Romero and Caleb Morse. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Grimes and Edgar Miller. Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He retired after 30 years of active duty. He was a very loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed by Brady Leblanc on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
