Memorial services will be held at a later date for Jimmie Lou Brashear, age 93, who passed on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Pelican Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Maurice LA, surrounded by her family. Inurnment will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, TX. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Hoover (Ronald); her granddaughter, Sarah Loftin (William); one grandson Adam Hoover (Ginny); four great grandsons Joseph Loftin, Luke Loftin, Atley Hoover, and Jebby Hoover; two brothers, Johnny Ford ( Barbara), Danny Ford ( Virginia); one sister Michele Lombardo (Thomas); and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James Atley Ford and Mary Louis Allen Ford; and one sister Carolyn Ford Kaye (Tommy). She worked and retired with the Calcasieu Parish School Board in the Library services Department for twenty-five years. Whether remembered as Jimmie Lou, Ms. B, Aunt Jim, or Mimi, there are so many people that say “Oh, she loved me the most!” and in their heart each one knows that they are right. Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Jimmie Lou Brashear's name by donating a book to a child.
