A Celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Joseph Murphy Meaux at 2:30 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in La Chapelle de Martin and Castille's DOWNTOWN location. Joseph passed away at the age of 80 on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his residence in Lafayette with his family by his side. The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 9:00 AM until time of services at 2:30 PM. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Joseph was born in Abbeville and moved to Lafayette in 1962. His life long career was in the grocery business as a sales representative. His loves were his wife, camping, fishing, cutting grass, family, friends and his dog MeMe. Memories of him will be cherished by all who knew him. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Mrs. Gale Domingue Meaux; his daughter, Karen "Doy" Brasseaux and her husband Kenneth "Kenny"; his son, Randal "Tiger" Meaux and his wife Rebecca "Becky" Huval Meaux; his grandchildren, Anthony Nelands, Julie Nelands, Cameron Meaux, Victoria Meaux and Amanda Meaux; his only aunt, Alma Estilette and his loyal dog, Mia "MeMe". Mr. Meaux was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Alphe' and Mrs. Devian Meaux.
