Margaret Miller Gary

August 18, 1955 - February 15, 2022

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 12:00 pm in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Margaret Miller Gary, 66, who passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2022, at Landmark of Rayne. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include one daughter, Nicole Gary and her fiancé, Jacque; two sons, Toby Gary and his wife, Jennifer, and Travis Gary and his wife, Shannon; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Matthew, Samantha and Austin; two sisters, Dianne Briscoe and Charlene Gintz; and her close family friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert “Wayne” Gary, Jr.; her parents, Frank Miller and the former Florence Faul; two sisters, Betty McKnight and Glenda Daigle; and two brothers, Bobby Miller and Frederick Miller. Margaret was a native of Sunset and a longtime resident of Scott. She was a graduate of Sunset High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and watching football, especially the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Toby Gary, Travis Gary, Austin Champagne, Jacque Leger, Bryson Bonin, and Heith Bonin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Gary, Samantha Gerard, Alyssa Gary, and Braydon Bonin. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Gary family to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Lourdes Hospice.
