Marsha Hale

December 27, 1952 - March 20, 2022

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Marsha Riggs Hale, 69, who passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pastor Carl Benton of Living Glory Ministries in Lafayette will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Edward “Eddie” James Hale; her children, Edward “Kristian” Hale and his wife, Crystol, Thomas “Jeremy” Hale and his wife, Nicole, Dustin James Hale and his wife, Adrienne, and Lyndi Hale Bourque and her husband, Justin; her grandchildren, Thomas Jeremy Hale, II, Noah McKade Bourque, Kamryn Alyene Bourque, Emma Claire Hale, Peyton James Hale, Sophie Rae Bourque, Kieran Wesley McIntosh, Odin Alexander Hale, and Amalie Shea Bourque; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Scott Riggs and the former Marguerite Alyene Standfield, and her siblings, Butch Perkins, and Marguerite “Mickey” Doucet. Marsha was a graduate of Franklin High School in 1970. She worked for the Lafayette Parish School System for 20 years. Marsha loved her family, grandchildren and always had The Lord as number one. She loved taking pictures, family vacations, sewing, anything in the arts and crafts field, and really loved leading everyone to The Lord. Pallbearers will be Kristian Hale, Jeremy Hale, Dustin Hale, Justin Bourque, Thomas Hale, Noah Bourque, and Peyton Hale. Honorary Pallbearers will be Odin Hale, Kieran McIntosh, Chris “Chewy” Lander, David “Bubba” Winemiller, Scottie Brubaker, Billy Brubaker, and Scotty Perkins. Celebration of Life on Sunday at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will continue on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
