Marty Park

September 16, 1957 - March 8, 2022

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Marty Park at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel, 600 E. Farrel Rd., Lafayette, LA 70508. Marty peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Reverend Howard Blessing will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his loving mother Florence Park; his son Miles Park; his daughter Meagen Abrahams; his son Dominick Park; his daughter Joeli Park; his grandchildren Shelby and Jackson Park, Jayma, Merik and Jules Abrahams; his brothers Michael, Jerry(Sue), Jeff(Janet), Joel(Kim), Chip and Donnie Park(Aimee); his sisters Julieann Betzold and Amy Park; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by father, D. Frank Park and his sister, Patti Coy. Marty was a graduate of Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona. Upon completing high school he would begin to work with his father in a body shop and from there he would spend the majority of his career working with Halliburton in the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career in the oil and gas industry, Marty was able to travel to many places throughout the world, his favorite being Columbia. One of his favorite pass times was playing drums in the family band. He also really enjoyed traveling with family, woodworking, water skiing and horticulture. Although Marty had many interests in life, his passion in life was his family. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Park family to Ben and Angie in the Intensive Care Unit of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
