Neil Cade Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church for Neil Cade, 76, who died at his residence in Lafayette on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Mario Romero, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Survivors include his devoted wife of 55 years, Carlene Moss Cade; two children, Chris Cade and his wife Becky, and Tiffany Santiago and her husband Jeff; grandchildren, Taylor Elliott (Ryan), Dylan Cade (Chloe Williams), Gabby Cade, Caroline Cade, and Abrielle Santiago; great grandchildren, Jayden Shamburger, Reece Elliott, Rendi Elliott, and Hayes Elliott; and two sisters, Sandra Cade Guidry and Marsha Cade Hebert (Darrell). He was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) Cade and Marie Fremin Cade and his sister, Billie Cade Seneca. Neil was a native of New Iberia, LA and a resident of Lafayette, LA for the last 70 years. He was a proud graduate of Cathedral High School. He attended USL for two years in Education and then joined the U.S. Naval Air Reserves for which he served six years. Prior to his retirement in 2012, Neil was a Business Manager at Hub City Ford for 33 years. Neil never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. He loved to fish, play golf, and play pickleball. Neil loved attending UL Baseball games, UL Softball games, and Acadiana High Football games with family. Neil coached youth football and little league baseball. He and his wife attended every event their son, daughter, and grandkids were involved in. He had a strong Catholic faith and his family meant everything to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & friend who will be dearly missed by all. Pallbearers will be Chris Cade, Dylan Cade, Jeff Santiago, Ryan Elliott, Dalton Moss Jr., and Jeff Mouton. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, during which a Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 10:00am until time of services.
