Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Roy Joseph Dugas , 95, who passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his residence in Carencro. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Reverend Kyle White, Pastor of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his beloved wife, Catherine Elaine Dugas; one daughter, Cindy Quebedeaux and her husband, David; three sons, David Dugas and his wife, Dona, Bennett Dugas and his wife, Annette and Carl Dugas and his wife, Debbie; one sister, Jeanette Matzinger; one brother, Raymond Charles Dugas; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Dugas Parks, Tyler Dugas, Taylor Dugas, Hayden Dugas, Hannah Dugas, Harley Credeur, Gabrielle Boreffi, Alex Dugas, Kaitlyn Dugas, David Quebedeaux, Jr., and Robin Quebedeaux Candler; ten great grandchildren, Maddie and Ashlei Stone, Deacon Quebedeaux, Dylan, Logan and Landon Credeur, Benjamin Parks, Lucas and Eliza Dugas and Eva Credeur; and one great-great granddaughter, Anniston Credeur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernand and Marie Patin Dugas, one brother, William Dugas; grandson, Chad Credeur and great grandson, Cal David Parks. Mr. Dugas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He loved to smoke good cigars on his patio, play golf, fish and hunt with his sons. His passion was watching his grandchildren play sports. Roy was a U.S. veteran of the Navy serving in World War II. He worked in the oil field, retiring from Halliburton and Lyndon Transport. Pallbearers will be David Dugas, Carl Dugas, Bennett Dugas, Tyler Dugas, Taylor Dugas, and Hayden Dugas. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed on Monday at 11:00 A.M. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
