Sidney Joseph Hardy

September 15, 1922 - March 14, 2022

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Teche Baptist Church, 3634 Grand Point Highway, in Breaux Bridge, for Sidney Joseph Hardy, 99, who passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastor Joe Jenkins, Pastor of Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his son, Richard S. Hardy and his wife, Flora of Keenesburg, CO; grandson, Brian Hardy and his wife, Brandee of Lincoln, MO; great grandson, Connor M. Hardy of Hagerstown, MD; a dear friend for 30 years, Jennifer Fann. Sidney was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes Panepinto Hardy; his parents, Martin J. and Blanche Guilbeaux Hardy; and twelve siblings. Sidney Hardy honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he became a Prisoner of War during his time served. Pallbearers will be Brian Hardy, Gantt Nicholson, Dennis Carter, Mac Figueron, Bubba Guillory, and Jacques Migues. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dodson, Lloyd Tauzin, and Jim Hummel. The family requests that visitation be observed at Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Sidney Joseph Hardy's name to American Legion Post 69 Veterans Assistance Fund in Lafayette.
