Arrangements are pending for Mr. Valery Hampton Boaz. Uncle Val, as he was affectionately known, passed away at the age of 72, Friday evening, December 18, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Left behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Mary Yvonne Viator; his sister, Mary Christich; his nephew, Todd Viator and his wife, Leah; his niece, Tanya Viator Derigo and her husband Joe; his niece Wendi Redden; his niece, Jamie Hebert and her husband Wesley; his niece Lesley Lopez and her husband Kasey; great nieces and great nephews, Jack, Elliot, Jude, Olivia, Matthew, Jordan, Madison, Gavyn, Elizabeth, Hudson and Kullen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louise Inez Breaux Boaz. A resident of Scott, Louisiana for most of his life Uncle Val was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and he was honorably discharged. He enjoyed spending time with family but his passion in life was listening to The Beatles and to Frank Sinatra.
