Paul G. Duhon

April 19, 1938 - April 25, 2022

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Paul Gerald Duhon, 84, who passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at his residence in Baton Rouge. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Robert Klingman of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Beverly Trahan; his four children, Richard Dale Duhon, David Roy Duhon, Ginger Ann Duhon, Paulette Territo and her husband, Tony; a daughter-in-law, Fran Ellen Domingue; three grandchildren, Jeannette Duhon, Davetta Ard, and Brandie Varnado; four great grandchildren, Aleix McKenzie, Makya Duhon, Thomas Ard, and Mikko Duhon; three sisters, Hazel Perrio, Barbara Chiasson, and her husband, Olide, and Cindy LeBlanc and her husband, Danny; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends left behind to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Roy Duhon and the former Anna Mae Mouton; brother-in-law, Gabriel Perrio, Jr. Mr. Paul was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1963. He proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard with the United States Army. Paul was once a member of the Quality Education for the Deaf as well as a member of Local 198, recently achieving 50 year member status, and Local 130 Plumber and Pipefitter Union. He loved camping, fishing, flying model planes, playing cards, cooking Cajun specialties, and spending time with his family most of all. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10:00 am until time of services. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Duhon family to Paul’s caregivers, especially Katrina Clark, Carolyn Grove, and doctors, nurses and staff of Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
