Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette for Robert E. Daigle, 61, who died on Sunday, March 7, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. Reverend Cedric Sonnier, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his mother, Melba Pierret Daigle; one sister, Kathy Daigle; his godfather, Robert Whittington; one aunt, Diane Doucet; one uncle, John Ray Daigle and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Garland Edward "Cheyenne" Daigle; his godmother and aunt Yvonne Pierret Riche’ and his aunt Betty Jean Caswell. Robert went to kindergarten at Most Holy Sacrament, then attended Our Lady of Fatima elementary / middle school and then graduated from Lafayette High School, Class of 1977. He worked for Tesco for 20 years in Houston. Robert loved to ride his Harley Davidson, weight lifting and spending time in the outdoors. The family requests that visitation be observed at St. Mary of the Church, 419 Doucet Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503 on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. in St. Mary of the Church.
